Ranking High in JEE mains is not an easy task. It takes a lot of perseverance and dedication to achieve your goals. We here at Gnana Hi-Tech academy provide you with all the technology and advanced training sessions with highly qualified professional faculties to help you throughout the journey. The key to achieving a good ranking in JEE is hard work and smartwork. Both are equally important. Here are few things that you can follow to get Good Rank in JEE mains:
- The best way to study is to concentrate. It is always better to study for an hour with 100% concentration than to study for two hours while watching TV.
- There are many people who will tell you that you should study for X hours to get a good rank. However, quality matters more than quantity. You may have to study less, but focus hard. Instead of solving 20 similar problems with only different numerical values, it is better to solve 10 different varieties of problems with full focus.
- Breaks should be taken in between. Entertainment is necessary, but don't use it to get away from preparation. Make it part of your preparation rather than an escape.
- Examine your mistakes after every test so that you can understand why you made the mistakes and how to avoid them in the future.
- Keeping consistency is important. Instead of studying all night one day and sleeping on the next, study for the same number of hours on both days. Remember, JEE is a marathon, not a sprint.
- Knowing which questions to attempt is part of smart work. It can boost your ranking easily. Once you read a question, you must decide whether you should attempt it or not. The aim in JEE is not to score 100 percent. The goal is to attempt 70-80 percent of the questions and make a maximum error of 5%. This comes with practice.
- In some questions, you can easily solve them if you are a little smart, mostly in mains, but rarely in advanced. One example is Maths for which you must produce an answer based on 'n'. You can always put values of n and then choose from the options. Every minute saved helps.
- It is important to know when to switch. If you follow a specific order while giving a test, like PCM, you should be aware that you must switch from Physics to Chemistry or Maths. If you start with hard questions, you'll waste your time and lose confidence. Again, practice will help you understand that both hard and easy questions carry the same marks.
- The last thing you should do is follow the advice of your teachers about any guidance or books you might need. Do not purchase random books before asking your teachers. They have a hundred times more experience than we do.
